African Prisons Project needs your help to help fund current and future prison projects. APP spends the vast majority of its donations on running operations in Africa. This is supported by APP volunteers who are expected to be self-funded, covering the costs of their flights and accommodation, and because APP seeks specific funding for our major expenses in Africa (full-time staff, office, vehicle etc) from corporations, organisations and philanthropists.

Cheques

What your donation provides
For instance:
- £40 per month allows us to provide nutritional support to inmates living with HIV on death row
- £25 per month helps us to care for new born babies and their mothers as well as other prisoners in government hospitals
- £100 helps us to run a football tournament for 150 prisoners or more
- £500 helps us to provide a prison with a portable library with adult literacy, health and legal education materials, as well as educators to bring the books to life
- £50 helps us to run mother and baby reading groups at two prisons for a month
