Aims and Strategy

We aim:

  • To be a catalyst of change and source of hope by bringing immediate improvements to prisoners’ welfare and creating models for rehabilitation
  • To bring expertise in the form of new skills, knowledge and ideas into the prison environment
  • To bring about systemic and sustainable change in prisons by working in partnership with prison services
  • To help people in prison in Africa to live with dignity and to change prison sentences into a time of positive transformation
  • To create safer communities and break the cycle of crime
  • To work holistically towards meeting the needs of beneficiaries, both staff and prisoners
  • To be ambassadors for penal reform and share a message of hope and dignity for people in prison
  • To work through relationships and to show love to those we serve

Systemic change model
